Old Town

Offering a glimpse into Park City's mining heyday, as many of the historic homes here were initially constructed in the 1800s, this charming Utah hub is dotted with old mine structures and features a Historical Museum and Territorial Jail. There are guided walking tours detailing this history throughout the summer and historical ski tours in winter, which take visitors past nationally registered mine buildings and tunnel openings. 

 

Encompassing Historic Main Street plus the areas close to the base of Park City Mountain and the Park City Municipal Golf Course, this area is the center of visitor activity. Restaurants, art galleries, and swanky boutiques fill historic buildings that once housed saloons and boarding houses. Great nightlife and an abundance of year-round activities are Old Town’s biggest draw. 

 

Real estate in Old Town is a mix of single-family homes and condominiums that allow short-term, nightly, or weekly vacation rentals, ideal for ski enthusiasts and investors. Residences here are in high demand - the median listing is $2.5 million - and homes extend into the $20 million range. 

 

Centrally located among several ski resorts, including the Park City Mountain Resort, Old Town offers its own scenic town lift, plus easy access to skiing and biking. Popular areas within walking distance to Main Street are Woodside Ave, Norfolk Ave, and Empire Ave - strips that feature locally renowned attractions like the No Name Saloon, Riverhorse on Main, High West Distillery & Saloon, Park City Fine Art, and Meyers Gallery.

 

The Sundance Film Festival, the largest independent film festival in the US, occurs here each January. Residents gather regularly for Park Silly Sunday Market, an eco-friendly, open-air street festival that takes place each Sunday between June and September. The Egyptian Theatre, a storied concert hall with a King Tut theme, features a varied lineup of shows.
